Heathrow sucks!

Heathrow is probably the busiest and least pleasant airport I have ever visited in a developed nation.

Despite having a functional capacity of around 45 million passengers per year it currently struggles to cope with around 70 million and it really shows.

Departures, Arrivals, Duty Free, every restaurant and shop, the toilets, the runways and every other area in the place are always busy, all of the time.

If you fly into the airport then you should expect delays.

If you fly from the airport then you should expect delays and check in at least 4 hours in advance.

If you drive to or from the airport then you should expect traffic jams.

If you try to park at the airport then you should expect delays and congestion.

Heathrow sucks and it looks like it will stay that way for some time to come.
